General overview

The Fellows’ Quiz Bee is an event to be hosted by the Philippine Society of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (PSO-HNS) during the 70th PSO-HNS Annual Convention to be held on December 3, 2026 from 7:00 – 8:30 AM, EDSA Shangri-La Hotel.

It aims to celebrate the Society’s 70-year legacy of excellence by engaging its members in a friendly yet intellectually stimulating competition that showcases academic knowledge, clinical reasoning, practical decision-making, and appreciation of the specialty’s history and heritage.

Eligible participants

  • PSO-HNS Fellows in good standing
  • ORL-HNS diplomates who recently graduated from PBO-HNS accredited training institutions
  • ORL-HNS residents from PBO-HNS accredited training institutions

Team composition

Each team shall consist of four (4) members, composed of either:

  • Four (4) PSO-HNS Fellows; or
  • Three (3) PSO-HNS Fellows and one (1) ORL-HNS resident / PBO-HNS diplomate

Teams may represent either

  • A PSO-HNS Chapter, or
  • A PSO-HNS Subspecialty Academy, or
  • A PBO-HNS accredited training institution from which they are currently affiliated with or from which they graduated

    November 13, 2026 (Friday), 12 midnight.

    Vetting

    Registrants will be vetted by the Annual Convention Scientific Committee.

    Qualified teams

    The final list of qualified teams will be released on November 27, 2026.

Final qualified teams

  • Maximum of 40 teams will be accepted, in order of registration time stamp.
  • Only 1 team from each training institution, PSO-HNS Chapter or Academy will be accepted.
  • All members of each team must be physically present at the venue by 7:00 AM on December 3. Incomplete teams will be disqualified. Last-minute substitution will not be allowed.
