Message from the President

Celebrating Our Identity, Forging Our Legacy

Dear Fellows, Diplomates, Residents, Colleagues, and Friends,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 2026 PSO-HNS Annual Convention as we celebrate a historic milestone—the 70th Anniversary of our Society.

Guided by the theme, “Proud of Our Identity, Forging Our Legacy: 70 Years of Leadership in ENT Excellence,” this Platinum Convention is more than a gathering of colleagues. It is a celebration of who we are, what we have accomplished together, and the future we are building for the next generation of ORL-HNS specialists.

This year, we have prepared a comprehensive scientific program that brings together all our subspecialties, showcasing the latest advances, innovations, and best practices across the breadth of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. From cutting-edge technologies to practical clinical insights, our goal is to provide an educational experience that is relevant, inspiring, and transformative.

In keeping with our commitment to innovation, we are also introducing new enhancements to improve the convention experience, including streamlined registration processes and, for the first time in PSO-HNS history, a dedicated Convention Web App designed to place information, schedules, announcements, and participant engagement right at your fingertips.

Likewise, we inaugurate the Dr. Tiery Garcia Memorial Lecture and Award—the Society’s highest distinction, reserved for milestone celebrations and dedicated to honoring individuals whose extraordinary contributions have shaped our profession and strengthened our legacy. More than a recognition of achievement, this award affirms that the highest honor in our Society is not fame or position, but a lifetime of excellence, leadership, integrity, and service.

But a Platinum Celebration would not be complete without moments to reconnect, celebrate, and create lasting memories. We have prepared a vibrant social program befitting this landmark occasion—one that honors our rich heritage while embracing the energy, camaraderie, and spirit that have always defined our Society.

Whether you come for the science, the fellowship, the celebration, or all of the above, I assure you that this year’s convention will be an experience to remember.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the PSO-HNS Platinum Annual Convention on December 2–4, 2026, at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Manila.

As we celebrate a remarkable milestone in our Society’s history, we gather under the theme:

“Proud of Our Identity, Forging Our Legacy: 70 Years of Leadership in ENT Excellence.”

For seven decades, the Philippine Society of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery has been at the forefront of advancing patient care, education, research, and professional development in our specialty. This Platinum Anniversary Convention is both a celebration of our rich heritage and a reaffirmation of our commitment to shaping the future of ORL-HNS in the Philippines and beyond.

We have prepared an exceptional scientific program featuring distinguished local and international speakers, cutting-edge updates, thought-provoking discussions, and valuable opportunities for collaboration and fellowship. In keeping with our Platinum celebration, all our subspecialty academies will be featured through plenary sessions, showcasing the breadth, depth, and excellence of our profession. We are confident that the diversity and quality of the topics will provide valuable insights for every participant.

Beyond the scientific sessions, we are delighted to host an exposition featuring our valued healthcare partners. These booths and exhibits will showcase advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic innovations, offering attendees the opportunity to explore emerging developments that continue to transform the practice of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.

To make this Platinum Convention even more memorable, we have carefully designed the physical setup and overall convention experience to reflect the elegance of our Platinum Gala Celebration. From the venue ambiance to the convention spaces, attendees can look forward to a distinctive environment that celebrates our Society’s 70-year legacy while fostering meaningful interactions among colleagues, partners, and guests. Thoughtful planning has also been undertaken to ensure enhanced security, comfort, and accessibility for all participants.

We are especially excited to return to a venue that has hosted many of our memorable conventions through the years—the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Manila. As we come together once again in this familiar setting, we look forward to creating new milestones and cherished memories as we celebrate our Platinum year.

As we honor the pioneers who built our Society and recognize the achievements of generations of ORL-HNS practitioners, let us also look ahead with renewed purpose, innovation, and unity. Together, we will continue to strengthen our identity as a professional community and forge a legacy that will inspire future generations of otorhinolaryngologists.

Message from the Co-Chair

Good day, dear colleagues!

On behalf of the organizing committee of the PSO-HNS 70th Anniversary, it is my great honor to welcome you to this year’s Annual Convention entitled “Proud of our Identity, Forging Our Legacy: 70 years of Leadership in ORL-HNS Excellence” that will be held in EDSA Shangri-La Hotel Manila on December 2–4, 2026.

This year, as the PSO-HNS marks its 70th Anniversary, we celebrate seven decades of growth, service, training, and leadership that have shaped the practice of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery in the Philippines. This milestone is a tribute to the pioneers, mentors, and institutions that built our specialty and a chance to reflect on how far the practice of ENT in our country has come and how we can continue to strengthen it for future generations.

The convention program has been designed not only to revisit the foundations and major milestones of our specialty, but also to highlight the future direction of ENT practice in the Philippines. Through lectures, symposia, and collaborative discussions across our subspecialty groups, we will explore how innovation, interdisciplinary care, advances in technology and training, and a deeper commitment to accessible, excellent patient care can help define the next chapter of ORL-HNS in our country and in Asia. Together with our industry partners, academic institutions, chapters, and training programs, this gathering is an opportunity to honor our legacy while preparing for the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
