* All submitted entries that failed to meet the requirements for the shortlist and finalist will be given a priority slot for the free paper presentation. For this year, the subcommittee will only accept a maximum of 25 entries. The remaining slots not filled up by submissions from case report, descriptive, analytical, surgical innovation and instrumentation will be opened to those who will meet the requirements on November 1, 2026. Free paper presentations will also undergo the same screening as all the contests and will need the necessary documentary requirements.

Requirements
- Manuscript in PJO-HNS required format
- Official IRB/ERB/REC exemption or approval notification, whichever is applicable to the paper submitted
- Filled-up official author form
- Filled-up official PSO-HNS / PJO-HNS endorsement form by the Department Chair and Research Coordinator
- ICMJE forms filled up by all authors
